Technicolor Games Welcomes Business Development Directors John Hegarty and Eddie Caparaz 

The appointments of John Hegarty and Eddie Caparaz as Business Development Directors at Technicolor Games come as Technicolor Creative Studios, leaders in the digital entertainment space have announced the expansion of their Games business, Technicolor Games with investment in talent, technology, and several new service lines accelerating the growth of the global studio.

John Hegarty – Business Development Director (Europe)

Hegarty has over 20 years of experience working in the games industry with both developers and publishers alike. Hegarty, a passionate gamer himself has contributed to over one hundred titles across multiple platforms from Game Boy through to VR and next-generation consoles.

Hegarty’s seasoned career has seen him spend over a decade with both SEGA and Disney, from managing global partnerships to implementing new release strategies for digital content.  

Hegarty has spent time immersed in the world of mobile game development but most recently held a pivotal role at Lionbridge overseeing key strategic partnerships focusing on growth within EMEA.

Hegarty has worked on several BAFTA nominated and award-winning titles proudly becoming a BAFTA member in 2018.

Eddie Caparaz – Business Development Director (North America)

With over 20 years of experience in the video games industry, Caparaz has been involved in closing strategic partnerships between game developers, publishers, and service providers in a variety of roles.

Before joining Technicolor Games, Eddie was the North American Sales Manager with LocalizeDirect, conducting outreach campaigns and closing partnership deals across the games industry. Caparaz was with EA as Developer A&R Manager for over a decade, Caparaz led outbound business development efforts and managed key clients for the EA Partners division.

As the Studio GM at Iron Galaxy Studios, Caparaz managed their indie game publishing label, negotiated deals with publishers and 3rd party developers, and managed first-party relationships.

Caparaz comments, “Joining Technicolor Games has been an incredible experience. My colleagues are super talented, the company has a rich history, and our studio is second to none. The bar is high and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I appreciate the opportunity to jump in and grow the business with exciting new partnerships and innovative projects. Technicolor Games joins Technicolor Creative Studio brands, MPC, The Mill and Mikros Animation, in developing top-tier visual graphics in addition to multiple other creative services to video games publishers and developers. Technicolor Games will offer an unparalleled service to the games industry at scale, backed by the innovative legacy of Technicolor and its sister studios, who together can provide a suite of in-house full-service production across games IP, from in-game assets to TV advertising, interactive experiences, animation and feature-length film.
